The first passenger cableway on the Yangtze River, spanning the river in 4 minutes and 30 seconds. 30 yuan for one way, the north station is near Monument to the people's Liberation, and the south station is near Longmen Haolao Street.

The Yangtze River Cableway was first built in 1986 and is the first large-scale cross river passenger cableway on the ten thousand mile Yangtze River. It is known as the "air bus" and takes about 4 minutes and 30 seconds one-way.

Two sites

  • North Station: 151 Xinhua Road, Yuzhong District, close to Monument to the people's Liberation and Hongya Cave, with the most tourists.
  • South Station: No. 4 Shangxin Street, Nan'an District (opposite Longmenhao Street Office), with few people and friendly parking, next to Longmenhao Old Street.

Ticket price

One way 30 yuan, round-trip 50 yuan; it is recommended to buy one way (round-trip requires a second queue, low cost-effectiveness). Tickets can be purchased 2 days in advance on the WeChat official account "Yangtze River Cableway".

Operating hours

  • Summer (March November) 8:00-22:00; Winter 8:00-21:00; The park opens around 7:30 on holidays.
  • Stop ticket checking around 21:30 and pay attention to the announcement of the day.

Best Experience

The most released films are from sunset to night time (18:30-21:00); In the early morning, there are few people and it's quiet. If you want to take photos, you can go to the South Station to avoid the crowds at the North Station.

Avoiding pitfalls

  • Most of the roadside "fast track" scalpers are scams. They buy tickets from the official official account.
  • The elevator car has no air conditioning, but in summer it comes with a handheld small fan and ventilation by the station window.
  • Children under 1.2 meters are free of charge; Student and elderly voucher discounts.
